This is a significant non-food retail business with growing sales in a strong market. The company supplies direct to customer and operates a complex national distribution network.

In this role you will manage all aspects of physical stock movement, from warehousing through to final delivery to customer. This includes a multiple sites, both third-party and in-house  state-of-the-art warehouses, plus a dedicated transport fleet.

You will manage the operation through an established and high performing management team, take responsibility for driving performance, as well as gearing the business for future growth.

A background that includes a mix of both warehouse and transport work is preferred, plus a strong knowledge of retail distribution gained either in-house or with a third-party operation.

You will have managed large budgets and be able to demonstrate the implementation of tight cost controls, as well as the involvement in capital project and development work.
